Sexual function and urinary issues
Recently, I experienced discomfort after urination, so I visited a urologist.
I underwent a semen analysis, and the doctor found some bacteria, prescribing medication for me.
After taking the medication for about two weeks, I noticed some improvement, so I stopped taking it.
Now, about three months later, I don't feel as uncomfortable as before, but occasionally I still have difficulty urinating and feel like I can't fully empty my bladder.
I've also noticed a sensation in the area connecting the anus to the scrotum.
I'm not sure if I'm misinterpreting it, but I feel a connection from the penis to that area.
When I exert pressure in the anus, such as during a bowel movement, I find it difficult to urinate, which is different from before.
This situation has persisted for over six months.
Additionally, regarding sexual function, I have concerns because I have no sexual experience.
I started masturbating around the second or third grade, possibly even earlier.
I had experiences with self-stimulation as a child and began ejaculating in the third grade due to early development.
Around the age of 12 or 13, I felt that I was ejaculating too easily just by pushing back the foreskin, so I switched to using more stimulating soaps or cooling substances to stimulate the glans for ejaculation.
I'm not sure if this has led to increased sensitivity in my penis, but I can achieve ejaculation within about a minute from a completely flaccid state.
I'm very worried about my future sexual function and would like to know if there are any methods to improve it.
I've seen information online about retrograde ejaculation treatments, but I don't fully understand it.
Could you please help clarify this for me? Thank you.

More Info
Understanding urological issues and sexual function concerns can be quite complex, especially when they intertwine with personal experiences and habits. Based on your description, it seems you are dealing with two primary concerns: urinary discomfort and sensitivity related to sexual function. Let’s break these down.
Urinary Discomfort
You mentioned experiencing discomfort after urination and a feeling of incomplete bladder emptying. This can be indicative of several urological issues, including urinary tract infections (UTIs), prostatitis, or even bladder dysfunction. The fact that you saw improvement after taking antibiotics suggests that there may have been a bacterial infection initially. However, the lingering symptoms you describe, such as occasional difficulty urinating and the sensation of not fully emptying your bladder, warrant further investigation.
1. Prostatitis: This is an inflammation of the prostate gland, which can cause discomfort in the pelvic area, including the region between the anus and the scrotum. Symptoms can include painful urination, difficulty urinating, and sometimes pain during bowel movements. Since you mentioned discomfort when straining during bowel movements, this could be related to pelvic floor tension or prostatitis.
2. Bladder Dysfunction: If you feel that your bladder isn't emptying completely, it could be due to bladder overactivity or detrusor muscle dysfunction. This can lead to a sensation of urgency or incomplete voiding.
3. Follow-Up: It’s crucial to follow up with your urologist. They may recommend further tests, such as a urinalysis, ultrasound, or even urodynamic studies to assess how well your bladder and urethra are functioning.
Sexual Function Concerns
You also expressed concerns regarding your sexual function, particularly sensitivity and the speed of ejaculation. It’s common for individuals to worry about their sexual performance, especially if they have developed certain habits over the years.
1. Sensitivity: The sensitivity of the penis can be influenced by various factors, including the methods of stimulation you’ve used in the past. If you’ve been using more intense forms of stimulation, it could lead to heightened sensitivity, which might make it easier to reach orgasm but could also lead to concerns about premature ejaculation.
2. Premature Ejaculation: If you find that you are ejaculating very quickly (within a minute of stimulation), this could be classified as premature ejaculation. This condition can often be addressed through behavioral techniques, such as the "start-stop" method or the "squeeze" technique, which can help you gain better control over your ejaculation.
3. Psychological Factors: Anxiety about sexual performance can exacerbate these issues. It’s important to approach sexual experiences with a relaxed mindset. Consider discussing these concerns with a therapist or counselor who specializes in sexual health, as they can provide strategies to manage anxiety and improve sexual function.
4. Medical Treatments: If you feel that your sensitivity is affecting your sexual experiences negatively, there are topical anesthetics available that can reduce sensitivity. Additionally, medications like selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) have been shown to help with premature ejaculation.
Conclusion
In summary, your urinary discomfort and sexual function concerns are interconnected and can be addressed through a combination of medical evaluation and behavioral strategies. It’s essential to maintain open communication with your healthcare provider about your symptoms and concerns. They can guide you through appropriate tests and treatments tailored to your specific situation. Remember, many men experience similar issues, and seeking help is a positive step towards improving your health and well-being.
