I experience tingling sensations in my forehead and the area above it?
Hello Doctor:
1.
I have been experiencing chest pain and tightness, which are sometimes accompanied by tinnitus and dizziness.
The chest pain and tightness persist throughout the day, and I have been feeling increasingly fatigued and weak.
A few years ago, I underwent surgery for hyperhidrosis, and after suffering from acute gastroenteritis in early February of this year, my appetite has decreased.
After eating, I often experience excessive burping, which is uncomfortable, and sometimes I wake up at night to burp, feeling like I can't breathe.
2.
I have been taking gastrointestinal medication, but after taking it, I experience scalp numbness.
I also feel numbness even when I don't take the medication.
This side effect occurs after I eat, and I have not taken the medication for three days now, yet the numbness persists.
Could this be related to the medication? Here are the medications prescribed by my doctor: loratadine 10mg, D.M.P 10mg, metoclopramide (Primperan) 4.5mg, Gascon 40mg, pseudoephedrine 60mg, and codeine syrup (120ml).
3.
For the past few months, I have been consulting various doctors to find the cause of my symptoms.
I have seen a cardiologist and a gastroenterologist, who performed an ultrasound that showed normal gastric wall condition, and a pulmonologist who conducted an X-ray that appeared clean and normal.
Finally, I even consulted a psychiatrist, but I am certain that my issues are not related to mental health.
Out of desperation, I started taking psychiatric medication, but my mental state has worsened, and the symptoms mentioned above have not improved.
Doctor, please help me!

Hello: It should be unrelated to medication and will not affect the brain.
If there is no improvement, please consult a neurologist.

It sounds like you are experiencing a complex array of symptoms that can be quite distressing. Your symptoms, including chest pain, chest tightness, dizziness, and tingling sensations, can be indicative of several underlying issues, and it is essential to approach this systematically.
Firstly, the combination of chest pain and tightness, especially if it is persistent and accompanied by dizziness and ear ringing (tinnitus), can be concerning. While you have already consulted with specialists in cardiology and gastroenterology, it is crucial to consider the possibility of anxiety or panic attacks, which can manifest physically in ways that mimic more serious conditions. Anxiety can lead to hyperventilation, which might explain the feelings of breathlessness and dizziness.
The tingling sensation in your scalp and other areas of your body could be related to several factors. It might be a side effect of the medications you are taking, particularly if you have recently started or changed doses. Medications like metoclopramide can cause neurological side effects, including sensations of tingling or numbness. If you notice that these symptoms began after starting a new medication, it is vital to discuss this with your prescribing doctor.
You mentioned that you have been experiencing gastrointestinal issues, such as reduced appetite and excessive belching after eating. These symptoms can be quite uncomfortable and may contribute to feelings of anxiety, which in turn can exacerbate your physical symptoms. Gastrointestinal distress can sometimes lead to a cycle of anxiety and physical symptoms, making it challenging to pinpoint the exact cause of your discomfort.
Given that you have seen multiple specialists without a definitive diagnosis, it may be beneficial to consider a multidisciplinary approach. This could involve working with a neurologist to rule out any neurological conditions that might be causing your symptoms. Additionally, consulting with a mental health professional could help address any underlying anxiety or stress that may be contributing to your physical symptoms.
It's also important to consider lifestyle factors that may be impacting your health. Regular exercise, a balanced diet, and adequate sleep can significantly influence both physical and mental well-being. If you are feeling fatigued and run down, it might be worth exploring ways to improve your overall health and resilience.
In summary, your symptoms are multifaceted and could stem from a combination of physical and psychological factors. It is crucial to maintain open communication with your healthcare providers, ensuring they are aware of all your symptoms and any changes you experience. If your current treatment plan is not yielding results, do not hesitate to seek a second opinion or ask for a referral to a specialist who can provide a fresh perspective on your situation. Remember, your health is a priority, and it is essential to advocate for yourself in the healthcare system.
