It doesn't seem to be pearly penile papules?
Hello Doctor, I am 24 years old and have no sexual experience.
On the glans of my penis, at the frenulum, there are three small, yellowish, raised bumps that resemble pimples, each smaller than a grain of rice.
A few years ago, I initially had two, and then over the years, another one appeared at the edge of the frenulum.
They are not painful or bothersome.
After researching online, I suspect I might have pearly penile papules (which are not easily felt but can be seen upon close inspection) arranged in a row along the coronal sulcus.
However, the three bumps are noticeably more prominent than the papules.
What do you think this condition might be? Thank you.

You're not mistaken, it's very close.
If you're worried, I suggest you visit a hospital and consult a urologist.

Understanding uncommon bumps on the penis can be a source of concern for many individuals, especially when they notice new growths or changes in their genital area. Based on your description, it sounds like you may be experiencing a condition known as penile papules, specifically pearly penile papules (PPP). These are small, benign growths that typically appear around the corona of the glans (the head of the penis) and are often mistaken for other conditions.
Pearly penile papules are common and affect a significant portion of the male population. They are usually small, dome-shaped, and skin-colored or slightly white, resembling tiny pimples. They are not harmful and do not require treatment unless they cause psychological distress or concern. The exact cause of PPP is not well understood, but they are considered a normal anatomical variation rather than a disease or infection.
In your case, you mentioned that the bumps are yellowish, small, and protruding, which could suggest a few possibilities. While PPP is a likely candidate, other conditions could also present with similar symptoms. For instance, sebaceous cysts, which are small lumps filled with sebum (oil), can occur on the penis and may appear yellowish. These cysts are also benign and typically do not cause pain or discomfort.
Another possibility is that what you are observing could be a form of folliculitis, which is the inflammation of hair follicles. This condition can sometimes present as small, raised bumps that may resemble pimples. However, folliculitis is usually associated with irritation or infection and may be accompanied by redness or tenderness.
It is important to note that while many bumps on the penis are benign, any new growths or changes should be evaluated by a healthcare professional, particularly if they change in appearance, become painful, or if you have any other concerning symptoms. A healthcare provider can perform a physical examination and may recommend further tests if necessary to rule out any other conditions, such as sexually transmitted infections (STIs) or other dermatological issues.
In summary, based on your description, it is likely that you are experiencing pearly penile papules or possibly sebaceous cysts. Both conditions are benign and do not require treatment unless they cause discomfort or concern. However, it is always best to consult with a healthcare professional for an accurate diagnosis and peace of mind. They can provide you with personalized advice and reassurance regarding your condition. Remember, maintaining good genital hygiene and regular check-ups with a healthcare provider can help ensure your sexual health and well-being.
