Painful erection?
In the past month or two, I have been experiencing pain at the base of my penis during erections, with no visible injuries.
I did not have this issue before, and I currently do not have a partner.
What could be the problem? Additionally, I have occasionally experienced pain in my scrotum when touched, with no history of trauma or injury, occurring infrequently.
What could this issue be?

Hello, it seems that prolonged erection may have caused muscle fatigue or strain.
You can apply a warm compress locally, or use a warm towel for 10 minutes after each ejaculation to alleviate the symptoms.
If this does not help, it is advisable to seek medical attention.
If you have any further questions or need more detailed information, feel free to ask, and we can discuss and research this together.

Experiencing painful erections can be concerning and may indicate underlying issues that should be addressed. The discomfort you describe, particularly pain at the base of the penis during an erection, can arise from several potential causes. It is essential to consider both physiological and psychological factors that may contribute to your symptoms.
One common cause of pain during erections is penile trauma or injury, which may not always be visible. Even minor injuries can lead to inflammation or irritation of the tissues involved. Another possibility is the presence of Peyronie's disease, a condition characterized by the development of fibrous scar tissue inside the penis, which can lead to painful erections and curvature of the penis. This condition often develops without a clear cause and can be associated with trauma, genetic factors, or other medical conditions.
In addition to these physical causes, psychological factors such as anxiety or stress can also contribute to sexual dysfunction and discomfort. If you are experiencing anxiety about sexual performance or concerns about your sexual health, this can manifest as physical symptoms, including pain during erections.
Regarding the occasional pain in the scrotum, this could be due to several factors as well. Conditions such as epididymitis (inflammation of the epididymis), testicular torsion, or even referred pain from other areas can cause discomfort in the scrotal region. It is important to note that while occasional pain may not be alarming, persistent or severe pain should be evaluated by a healthcare professional.
Given that you have not experienced these issues in the past and that they have recently developed, it is advisable to seek medical attention. A healthcare provider can perform a thorough examination, which may include a physical exam, imaging studies, or laboratory tests, to determine the underlying cause of your symptoms. Early intervention can help prevent potential complications and provide you with peace of mind.
In the meantime, consider keeping a journal of your symptoms, noting when the pain occurs, its intensity, and any associated factors (such as stress levels or physical activity). This information can be helpful for your healthcare provider in diagnosing the issue.
In summary, painful erections and scrotal discomfort can arise from various causes, including trauma, Peyronie's disease, or psychological factors. It is crucial to consult a healthcare professional for a comprehensive evaluation and appropriate management. Taking proactive steps to address your concerns can lead to better sexual health and overall well-being.
