Semen
During ejaculation, I placed the tissue directly underneath, but when I looked, I found some red (light pink) on the tissue.
I used another tissue, but it seemed that the red part had already absorbed into the tissue and did not mix with the other semen.
Afterward, I used the tissue to dab around the urethral opening, but I did not find any red.
Is this a problem with the tissue or something else? The area around ejaculation is painful, and this is the first time this has happened.
I haven't had my period for over a week, and recently I've had a poor appetite, fatigue, and some difficulty with bowel movements.
Is there something wrong?

It could be related to the color of your urine; let's observe it for now.
If it happens again next time, please visit a urologist for an examination.

When it comes to changes in semen color, particularly the presence of red or pink stains, it can be concerning and warrants a closer examination. The appearance of red in semen can be attributed to several factors, and understanding these can help determine if there is a cause for concern.
Firstly, the presence of red or pink coloration in semen is often indicative of blood, a condition known as hematospermia. This can occur for a variety of reasons, including but not limited to:
1. Infection or Inflammation: Conditions such as prostatitis (inflammation of the prostate gland) or epididymitis (inflammation of the epididymis) can lead to blood in the semen. These infections may also cause pain during ejaculation, which you mentioned experiencing.
2. Trauma: Any recent trauma to the genital area, whether from vigorous sexual activity or injury, can result in bleeding that may manifest as red stains in the semen.
3. Vascular Issues: Sometimes, issues with blood vessels in the reproductive system can lead to bleeding. This could be due to conditions like varicocele or other vascular malformations.
4. Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH): In older men, an enlarged prostate can lead to various symptoms, including blood in the semen.
5. Tumors: Though less common, tumors in the prostate, seminal vesicles, or other parts of the reproductive system can cause hematospermia.
6. Systemic Conditions: Certain systemic conditions, such as hypertension or blood clotting disorders, can also lead to blood appearing in semen.
Given your symptoms of pain during ejaculation, fatigue, and gastrointestinal issues, it is essential to consult a healthcare professional. While the presence of red stains in semen can sometimes be benign and resolve on its own, it can also indicate a more serious underlying condition that requires medical attention.
In the meantime, here are some recommendations:
- Avoid Sexual Activity: Until you have consulted with a healthcare provider, it may be wise to refrain from sexual activity to prevent further irritation or injury.
- Monitor Symptoms: Keep track of any additional symptoms that may arise, such as fever, increased pain, or changes in urination. This information can be helpful for your healthcare provider.
- Stay Hydrated and Rest: Given that you mentioned feeling fatigued and having gastrointestinal issues, ensure you are staying hydrated and getting adequate rest.
- Seek Medical Attention: It is crucial to see a urologist or your primary care physician for a thorough evaluation. They may perform a physical examination, order laboratory tests, or imaging studies to determine the cause of the symptoms.
In summary, while red stains in semen can be alarming, they can result from various benign to serious conditions. Given your accompanying symptoms, it is advisable to seek medical evaluation to rule out any significant issues and receive appropriate treatment if necessary.
