Ejaculation is blocked by stones, causing significant pain?
I have been experiencing persistent soreness in my left lower back and discomfort in my abdomen.
I frequently feel the urge to urinate, and after urinating, I often feel the need to have a bowel movement, but there is very little urine and hardly any stool.
I consulted a doctor who suspected kidney stones.
An X-ray and urinalysis were performed, which showed some blood in the urine, but no stones were visible (I also did not experience pain while urinating).
The doctor advised me to drink plenty of water and gave me a pain relief injection before sending me home.
For the next 1 to 2 weeks, I continued to have mild soreness in my left lower back.
Sometimes using a heating pad provided temporary relief, and at other times, using a topical patch helped alleviate the pain.
However, the discomfort returned, and the symptoms were similar to those I had previously reported to the doctor.
I underwent another X-ray and urinalysis, and the findings were the same.
This time, however, I was diagnosed with high blood pressure, which was not present during my last visit.
I was prescribed pain relief and anti-inflammatory medication, as well as medication for high blood pressure.
The doctor again advised me to drink more water and referred me to a urologist for a follow-up appointment in a few days (both visits to the hospital were in the emergency department).
Two days later, I planned to go for the follow-up appointment.
That morning, I had an intimate moment with my wife, and during ejaculation, I suddenly felt intense pain, as if something was stuck.
Despite the pain, I finished, and I discovered a hard object in the middle of my urethra, which was very painful.
It turned out to be a stone.
I used my hand to gently push it upward and drank a lot of water, and eventually, I was able to expel it.
After that, my symptoms improved, and I did not go for the follow-up appointment.
My question is: Am I healed? Why do I not experience pain while urinating but felt the stone come out during ejaculation? What are my symptoms? It has been two weeks without any issues.
Do I still need to seek medical attention? Thank you for your response.

More Info
It sounds like you've been through quite a challenging experience with your kidney stone symptoms. Based on your description, it seems that you may have had a kidney stone that was causing discomfort in your lower back and abdomen, along with urinary symptoms. The fact that you experienced pain during ejaculation and felt a hard object in your urethra suggests that the stone may have been lodged in the urinary tract, possibly in the urethra itself, which can happen when a stone passes from the bladder.
Kidney stones can cause a variety of symptoms, including flank pain (pain in the lower back), abdominal discomfort, and changes in urinary habits. The pain you felt in your left lower back and abdomen could be related to the kidney stone's movement through the urinary tract. The presence of blood in your urine (hematuria) is also a common symptom associated with kidney stones, as the stone can irritate the lining of the urinary tract.
It's interesting that you mentioned the pain during ejaculation. This can occur if a stone is located near the urethra or if there is irritation in the urinary tract. When you engaged in sexual activity, the increased pressure and movement may have helped dislodge the stone, allowing it to pass. The fact that you were able to manually push the stone out and subsequently felt relief suggests that the stone was indeed causing your symptoms.
Regarding your ongoing symptoms, such as the mild discomfort in your lower back and the feeling of needing to urinate frequently, these could be residual effects from the stone or irritation in the urinary tract. It's not uncommon for individuals to experience lingering discomfort after a stone has passed, especially if there was any inflammation or irritation in the area. The use of heat packs and topical pain relief can help alleviate these symptoms temporarily.
As for your question about whether you are "better," it seems that you have successfully passed the stone, which is a positive outcome. However, since you have experienced ongoing symptoms and have a history of kidney stones, it would be wise to follow up with a urologist. They can perform further evaluations, such as imaging studies, to ensure that there are no remaining stones or other issues in your urinary tract.
In terms of prevention, staying well-hydrated is crucial in reducing the risk of future kidney stones. Drinking plenty of water helps dilute the substances in your urine that can form stones. Additionally, dietary modifications may be necessary depending on the type of stones you are prone to. For instance, if you have calcium oxalate stones, reducing foods high in oxalates (like spinach, nuts, and chocolate) may be beneficial. On the other hand, increasing your intake of citrus fruits, which contain citric acid, can help prevent stone formation.
Lastly, it's important to monitor your blood pressure, especially since you mentioned it was elevated during your visits. High blood pressure can have various implications for your overall health, and managing it is essential.
In summary, while it seems you have passed the stone and are feeling better, it is advisable to consult with a healthcare professional for a thorough evaluation and to discuss any ongoing symptoms. They can provide personalized recommendations based on your medical history and current condition.
