Response: There are spots on the foreskin?

After an erection, there is a spot just above the glans, as I have phimosis.
However, it doesn't look much like a mole (it appears different compared to moles on my hand), and it surrounds the glans, meaning there are similar spots on the sides and underneath as well.
If I don't pay attention to it, will it have any effects?

Hello, it is difficult to determine the cause of the condition, so we cannot predict whether there will be any impact.
Note: Many factors can lead to similar lesions, and the treatment methods may vary.
If there are any unclear points, feel free to ask again, and we can discuss and research further.

More Info

When it comes to spots on the penis, particularly those located just above the glans (the head of the penis), it is essential to approach the situation with caution and awareness. Based on your description, it sounds like you may be experiencing a condition that could be related to several factors, including anatomical variations, skin conditions, or even infections.
Firstly, it’s important to note that the penis has various structures, including sebaceous glands, which can sometimes appear as small bumps or spots. These are typically harmless and are known as pearly penile papules. They are common and usually do not require treatment unless they cause discomfort or concern.

However, given that you mentioned having phimosis (a condition where the foreskin cannot be easily retracted), this could potentially contribute to skin changes or irritation. Phimosis can lead to a buildup of smegma (a combination of dead skin cells and oils) under the foreskin, which might cause inflammation or changes in the skin's appearance.
If the spots you are observing are new, changing in appearance, or accompanied by other symptoms such as itching, pain, or discharge, it is crucial to seek medical attention. Conditions such as sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including herpes or warts, can present with similar symptoms and require prompt diagnosis and treatment.
Ignoring these spots may lead to complications, especially if they are indicative of an underlying condition that could worsen over time. For instance, untreated STIs can lead to more severe health issues, including infertility or chronic pain.
In terms of treatment, if the spots are benign and not causing any issues, they may not require any intervention. However, if they are related to phimosis, addressing that condition may help alleviate any associated symptoms. Treatment options for phimosis can range from topical steroid creams to surgical options, such as circumcision, depending on the severity of the condition and the patient's preferences.

In conclusion, while some spots on the penis may be harmless, it is essential to monitor any changes and consult a healthcare provider for a thorough evaluation. They can provide a proper diagnosis and recommend appropriate treatment options based on your specific situation. Remember, maintaining good hygiene and being aware of any changes in your body is crucial for your overall health and well-being.
