The genital area is moving?
Hello Doctor, after doing some DIY yesterday, today I sometimes feel like there is something moving inside my genital area, particularly in the scrotum.
I have experienced similar sensations before and consulted a urologist, who said it was normal.
However, why do I sometimes feel this "movement" sensation after DIY? Thank you for your explanation! Currently, I do not feel any discomfort, but occasionally I sense something moving internally!

Hello, what you are experiencing is likely a normal response of nerve excitation after erection and ejaculation.
If there are any unclear aspects, feel free to ask again, and we can further discuss and research this together.
Online responses should only be used as a reference; if necessary, it is important to seek medical attention at a healthcare facility.

Understanding sensations in the groin area after engaging in DIY activities can be a common concern, especially if you are not accustomed to certain physical activities. The sensations you describe, particularly the feeling of something moving in the groin or scrotal area, can be attributed to several factors, including muscle strain, nerve irritation, or even normal physiological responses to physical exertion.
When you engage in DIY activities, especially those that require bending, lifting, or straining, you may inadvertently put stress on the muscles and tissues in your pelvic region. This can lead to temporary muscle fatigue or minor strains, which might manifest as unusual sensations. The groin area is rich in nerves and blood vessels, and any strain or tension in the surrounding muscles can lead to sensations that feel like movement or twitching.
Additionally, the sensation of movement could be related to the contraction and relaxation of muscles in the pelvic floor or the surrounding areas. These muscles can become more active during physical activities, and if they are not used to such exertion, they may respond in ways that feel unusual. This is particularly true if you have been sedentary and suddenly engage in more strenuous activities.
Another possibility is that the sensation could be linked to the movement of the testicles within the scrotum. The testicles are not fixed in place; they can move slightly within the scrotum, especially during physical activity. This movement can sometimes be perceived as a sensation of something "moving" inside.
It's also worth noting that anxiety or heightened awareness of bodily sensations can amplify your perception of normal physiological responses. If you are particularly focused on your body after a DIY project, you may be more likely to notice sensations that you might otherwise overlook.
While you mentioned that you have previously consulted a urologist who indicated that these sensations are normal, it is always wise to monitor your symptoms. If the sensations persist, worsen, or are accompanied by pain, swelling, or any other concerning symptoms, it would be prudent to seek further medical evaluation.
In summary, the sensations you are experiencing in the groin area after DIY activities are likely related to muscle strain, nerve responses, or normal anatomical movements. As long as you are not experiencing pain or other significant symptoms, it is generally not a cause for concern. However, if you have any doubts or if the sensations change, consulting a healthcare professional for personalized advice would be beneficial.
