Is this considered a failed circumcision?
About ten years ago, when I was in middle school, I underwent a circumcision due to phimosis.
At that time, the doctor removed all the red skin on the left side, while leaving part of it on the right side.
As a result, when I have an erection, the glans noticeably tilts to one side, and the left side feels somewhat tight.
When I was younger, I didn't pay much attention to the appearance of my penis, but now I feel that it's not quite right.
I'm also unsure if the direct connection of the glans to the skin on the left side is causing the pigmentation from that area to extend onto the glans.
The color of the skin where the glans connects to the shaft is significantly darker than the surrounding areas.
I would like to ask the doctor if there are any methods to improve this situation.

It is still necessary to consult a urologist for evaluation and examination, as it is not possible to determine the condition and treatment based solely on your description.

More Info
It sounds like you're experiencing some concerns related to the results of your circumcision, particularly regarding asymmetry and skin tension on one side of the penis. This is not an uncommon issue, and many individuals who have undergone circumcision may have similar experiences. Let's break down your concerns and explore potential solutions.
Understanding Your Situation
From your description, it appears that during your circumcision, the surgeon removed more skin from the left side than the right, leading to an uneven appearance when the penis is erect. This asymmetry can cause the penis to curve to one side, which may be uncomfortable or concerning for you. Additionally, the tightness you feel on the left side could be due to the skin being pulled taut, which can happen if there is less skin available on that side.
The discoloration of the glans (the head of the penis) that you mentioned, where the skin color differs significantly from the surrounding areas, can occur for several reasons. One possibility is that the skin that was left intact on the right side may have a different pigmentation than the glans, especially if it has been in contact with the glans for an extended period.
Potential Solutions
1. Consultation with a Urologist: The first step is to consult with a qualified urologist who specializes in male genital surgery. They can assess your situation in person and provide a thorough evaluation. They will be able to determine if the asymmetry is significant enough to warrant further intervention.
2. Surgical Revision: If the asymmetry is bothersome and affects your quality of life, a surgical revision may be an option. This could involve removing additional skin from the right side or adjusting the left side to create a more balanced appearance. A urologist can discuss the risks and benefits of such a procedure with you.
3. Dermatological Treatments: If the discoloration is a concern, there may be dermatological treatments available that can help even out the skin tone. This could include topical treatments or procedures that a dermatologist can recommend.
4. Non-Surgical Options: In some cases, non-surgical options such as penile traction devices may help in addressing curvature issues. These devices apply gentle, consistent pressure to the penis, which may help in gradually correcting the curvature over time.
5. Psychological Support: It’s also important to consider the psychological aspect of your concerns. If the appearance of your penis is affecting your self-esteem or mental health, speaking with a mental health professional who specializes in body image issues may be beneficial.
Conclusion
In summary, while it’s understandable to feel concerned about the results of your circumcision, there are options available to address your issues. The most important step is to seek a professional evaluation from a urologist who can provide personalized advice based on your specific situation. They will help you navigate your options, whether that involves surgical revision, dermatological treatments, or other interventions. Remember, many individuals experience similar issues, and seeking help is a positive step towards finding a solution that works for you.
