There is a small raised red spot near the urethral opening?
A small raised red dot (about the size of a ballpoint pen tip) has been present near the urethral opening on the glans for 2 to 3 years.
Initially, it was not a concern.
However, during a recent sexual encounter involving oral sex (with a condom), bleeding occurred.
Upon inspecting the condom, blood was found along with two small blood clots (similar to mini versions of menstrual clots) and a small amount of white material (similar to the white discharge from a popped pimple).
There was no pain during the bleeding, and after cleaning, the appearance of the original red dot returned to normal without further bleeding.
The next day, during sexual activity (without oral sex), there were no unusual symptoms.
Could this be a condition similar to acne or a pimple on the glans, or could it be indicative of another sexually transmitted infection?

Dr. Xu Weikai reply Urology
Zhou Xiaomin: Hello, it could be a hemangioma, which is quite common and usually does not require special treatment.
If sexual activity causes bleeding, it may be advisable to consult a urologist, and if necessary, excision can be performed.

When it comes to the appearance of a red bump near the urethra, especially in the context of sexual health, there are several potential causes and concerns that should be considered. Based on your description, it seems you have a small red bump that has been present for 2-3 years, which has recently bled during oral sex. This situation raises a few important points to discuss.
Firstly, the red bump you describe could indeed be a benign condition such as a sebaceous cyst, folliculitis, or a type of benign skin lesion. Sebaceous cysts are common and can appear as small, raised bumps on the skin. They are generally painless unless they become inflamed or infected. Folliculitis, which is the inflammation of hair follicles, can also present as small red bumps and may sometimes lead to bleeding if irritated.
However, the presence of blood during sexual activity, particularly when it is accompanied by small blood clots and white discharge, warrants further investigation. While the absence of pain is a positive sign, it does not completely rule out the possibility of an underlying issue. The bleeding could be due to trauma to the area, especially if there was vigorous activity during oral sex. The fact that you noticed blood and clots in the condom suggests that there may have been some irritation or minor injury to the urethra or surrounding tissues.
Another consideration is the possibility of sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Certain STIs can cause lesions or bumps in the genital area, and while many STIs may present with additional symptoms, some can be asymptomatic. For example, herpes simplex virus can cause painful sores, while human papillomavirus (HPV) can lead to warts. It's important to note that even if the bump has been present for years without issue, changes in sexual activity or health can sometimes trigger symptoms or complications.
Given the complexity of your symptoms, it is crucial to seek medical evaluation from a healthcare professional. A urologist or dermatologist can perform a physical examination and may recommend tests such as swabs or blood tests to rule out infections or other conditions. They may also consider a biopsy of the bump if there are concerns about its nature.
In the meantime, it is advisable to avoid any sexual activity that could further irritate the area until you have been evaluated. This includes oral sex, as it may exacerbate any underlying condition or lead to further bleeding. Maintaining good hygiene and monitoring any changes in the bump or surrounding area is also important.
In summary, while the red bump near your urethra may be benign, the recent bleeding and presence of clots necessitate a thorough medical evaluation to rule out any serious conditions, including STIs. Prompt attention to these symptoms will help ensure your sexual health and overall well-being.
