Discomfort after ejaculation?
I am currently in the first year of high school.
Sometimes after masturbation, I experience a sharp pain in the area just below the navel, between the intestines and the bladder, along with a sensation of needing to urinate, even though I don't have much urine.
During severe episodes, I also feel discomfort near the anus.
Additionally, if I masturbate after having a bowel movement, it seems to happen more easily.
However, if I experience the sharp pain and then go to the bathroom to relieve myself, it feels much better.
This doesn't happen every time, and it usually resolves itself after about an hour.
Could this be due to masturbating too often? It seems like once a day might be too much.
Also, I feel like I started masturbating a bit too early in the third grade.

Excessive masturbation may lead to overstimulation of the surrounding nerves during ejaculation, causing frequent ejaculation to overstimulate the nerves and muscle groups, which can result in discomfort.
If there is frequent discomfort, it is advisable to avoid excessive masturbation.

Discomfort after ejaculation, particularly in the lower abdominal area, can be concerning for many adolescents. It’s important to understand that the urological system in males is complex and can be affected by various factors, including frequency of sexual activity, technique, and even underlying medical conditions.
From your description, it seems that you experience a sharp pain in the area between the bladder and intestines after masturbation, along with a sensation of needing to urinate. This discomfort can sometimes be attributed to several factors:
1. Pelvic Floor Tension: Frequent masturbation can lead to increased tension in the pelvic floor muscles. This tension can cause discomfort and may mimic the sensation of needing to urinate. If you are experiencing pain in the anal region as well, it could be related to the pelvic floor muscles being overly tight or spasming.
2. Prostate Health: The prostate gland, which is located just below the bladder, can also contribute to sensations of discomfort after ejaculation. In some cases, excessive stimulation or irritation of the prostate can lead to pain or discomfort.
3. Urinary Tract Issues: Sometimes, discomfort in the lower abdomen can be related to urinary tract infections (UTIs) or other urological issues. If you notice any changes in your urine, such as a burning sensation, increased frequency, or changes in color, it would be wise to consult a healthcare professional.
4. Bowel Movements: You mentioned that the discomfort seems to improve after a bowel movement. This could indicate that the pressure in your abdomen is relieved after defecation, which may temporarily alleviate the discomfort.
5. Frequency of Masturbation: While masturbation is a normal activity, doing it excessively (such as once a day or more) can lead to physical irritation or soreness. It’s essential to listen to your body and adjust your habits accordingly. If you feel that your frequency is causing discomfort, it might be beneficial to reduce the frequency and see if that helps alleviate the symptoms.
6. Psychological Factors: Anxiety or stress related to sexual activity can also manifest physically. If you are feeling anxious about your sexual health or habits, it could contribute to the discomfort you are experiencing.
Regarding your concern about starting masturbation at a young age, it is not uncommon for children to explore their bodies early on. However, the key is to ensure that it does not interfere with daily life or cause physical discomfort.
If the discomfort persists or worsens, it is advisable to consult a healthcare professional, such as a urologist. They can perform a thorough evaluation, including a physical examination and possibly some tests, to rule out any underlying conditions.
In summary, while occasional discomfort after ejaculation can be normal, especially during adolescence, persistent or severe pain should not be ignored. It’s essential to maintain open communication with a healthcare provider to address any concerns you may have about your sexual health and well-being. Remember, taking care of your body and understanding its signals is crucial for your overall health.
