Experiencing poor digestion and recent constipation?

In the past week, I have been experiencing poor digestion.
After meals, I feel bloated.
I started having constipation last Sunday.
Yesterday, I took a laxative and a stool softener, and this morning I had a bowel movement that was brown and paste-like.
I feel like I haven't completely emptied my bowels, and there is a sensation of something foreign inside my anus.
When I strain to have a bowel movement, I feel a pushing sensation, but nothing comes out.
When I relax, it retracts.
When I wipe with toilet paper, there is mucus with a fishy odor.
What could be wrong with me?
