There are some white spots at the base of the foreskin?
Hello, I just noticed some white spots under my foreskin.
They are not painful or itchy.
What could this be? Could it be a precursor to genital warts? I had unprotected oral sex with a sex worker about a month ago, but I used a condom during intercourse.
Or could this just be folliculitis? I have attached images for reference.
Thank you.

It is not possible to make an accurate assessment based solely on photos; it is recommended to visit a urology clinic for examination.
Online consultations cannot replace an in-person evaluation and physical examination by a physician.
If there is a medical condition, it is still advised to seek care at a healthcare facility.

When it comes to the appearance of white spots under the foreskin, there are several potential causes, and it’s important to approach this matter with care and consideration. Based on your description, the white spots you are observing could be due to a variety of conditions, and it is crucial to differentiate between them to understand the implications for your health.
One common cause of white spots under the foreskin is Fordyce spots, which are small, painless, pale bumps that are actually enlarged sebaceous (oil) glands. They are benign and do not require treatment. Another possibility is Pearly penile papules, which are small, harmless bumps that typically appear around the corona of the glans and are also normal anatomical variations.
However, you mentioned the concern about genital warts, which are caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). Genital warts can appear as small, flesh-colored or white bumps and can be transmitted through sexual contact. Since you had an encounter where you engaged in oral sex without protection, it is wise to be vigilant about any changes in your genital area. While the use of a condom during intercourse reduces the risk of transmission, it does not eliminate it entirely, especially for oral sex.
Another potential cause for the white spots could be balanitis, which is inflammation of the glans (the head of the penis) and can be caused by various factors including infections, irritants, or poor hygiene. This condition may present with redness, swelling, and sometimes white patches or spots.
Folliculitis, which is the inflammation of hair follicles, could also be a consideration, especially if the spots are associated with hair follicles. This condition can occur due to bacterial infections, irritation, or blockage of the follicles.
Given that you mentioned the spots are not painful or itchy, this might lean towards benign conditions like Fordyce spots or pearly penile papules. However, it is essential to consult a healthcare professional for an accurate diagnosis. A dermatologist or urologist can provide a thorough examination and possibly recommend tests if there is a suspicion of an infection or sexually transmitted disease.
In terms of your concerns about the potential for these spots to be a precursor to genital warts, it is important to note that while they can appear similar, the context of your recent sexual history makes it prudent to seek medical advice. Early diagnosis and treatment are key in managing any sexually transmitted infections effectively.
In summary, while the white spots under your foreskin may not be a cause for immediate alarm, they warrant a professional evaluation to rule out any serious conditions. It is always better to err on the side of caution, especially when it comes to sexual health. If you have any additional symptoms or if the spots change in appearance, be sure to seek medical attention promptly.
