Experiencing mood instability after taking sleep aids?


I have been taking the white, elongated enteric-coated tablets of Ropinirole (10 mg) prescribed by my doctor.
I take half a tablet at a time, and shortly after taking it, I do feel a bit dizzy, but I can still walk and think.
However, I also experience chest tightness.
Over the past few days, I have started to have episodes of emotional instability, where I think about unpleasant past events and begin to cry, with crying spells lasting over half an hour.
Are these symptoms normal?
