Sedation issues
I have recently experienced the following symptoms: 1.
Occasional pain in the left flank.
2.
Sometimes I feel a sensation of tightness in my throat, making it difficult to breathe, along with chest discomfort.
3.
Frequent soreness in my left arm (especially noticeable in the last two to three days).
4.
My left ear often feels blocked (an ENT specialist mentioned it could be due to nasal allergies causing inflammation of the Eustachian tube).
5.
I often feel warm (not sure if it's due to the air conditioning being too cold).
I had diarrhea recently and researched a lot, with some sources suggesting this could be early signs of lymphoma or nasopharyngeal cancer.
I'm very worried, so I would like to ask which specialist I should see first regarding these symptoms?

Based on the symptoms you've described, it’s understandable to feel concerned and anxious about your health. The symptoms you've listed include left-sided lower back pain, a sensation of throat tightness, chest discomfort, left arm pain, ear congestion, and a general feeling of warmth. These symptoms can be indicative of various conditions, and it’s important to approach them systematically.
1. Left-Sided Lower Back Pain: This could be related to musculoskeletal issues, such as muscle strain or a herniated disc, but it could also be related to kidney issues or other internal organ concerns. A primary care physician or an orthopedic specialist would be a good starting point for this symptom.
2. Throat Tightness and Chest Discomfort: These symptoms can be alarming, as they may suggest respiratory or cardiovascular issues. Conditions like anxiety can also manifest as tightness in the throat and chest. It would be wise to consult a primary care physician first, who may refer you to a pulmonologist (for lung-related issues) or a cardiologist (for heart-related concerns) based on their initial assessment.
3. Left Arm Pain: This symptom can be particularly concerning, as it is often associated with heart issues, especially if it occurs alongside chest discomfort. However, it could also be related to nerve issues or musculoskeletal problems. Again, starting with a primary care physician is advisable, who may then refer you to a cardiologist or neurologist if necessary.
4. Ear Congestion: Since you mentioned that an ENT specialist has already assessed this and attributed it to nasal allergies causing Eustachian tube dysfunction, it may not be a primary concern compared to your other symptoms. However, managing your allergies could help alleviate this symptom.
5. General Warmth: This could be a response to environmental factors (like air conditioning) or could indicate an underlying infection or inflammatory process. If this sensation persists, it would be worth discussing with your primary care physician.
Given the combination of these symptoms, I recommend starting with a visit to a primary care physician. They can perform a comprehensive evaluation, including a physical examination and possibly some initial tests (like blood work or imaging studies) to rule out any serious conditions. Based on their findings, they can then refer you to the appropriate specialists, such as a cardiologist, pulmonologist, or orthopedic specialist.
It's also important to communicate your concerns clearly to your doctor, especially your worries about serious conditions like lymphoma or nasopharyngeal cancer. While it’s natural to feel anxious about your health, remember that many symptoms can have benign explanations. Your doctor will help you navigate these concerns and determine the best course of action.
In the meantime, try to manage your anxiety by focusing on self-care practices, such as maintaining a healthy diet, getting adequate rest, and engaging in relaxation techniques like deep breathing or meditation. These can help alleviate some of the stress that often accompanies health concerns.
Lastly, if you experience any acute symptoms, such as severe chest pain, shortness of breath, or sudden weakness, seek emergency medical attention immediately. Your health and well-being are paramount, and addressing these symptoms early can lead to better outcomes.
