Can I participate in water activities?
I fractured my clavicle in a motorcycle accident on December 23, 2016.
It was a closed fracture.
The doctor advised me to wear a figure-eight brace and avoid lifting heavy objects.
I have been getting weekly X-rays to ensure there is no displacement.
Now, on February 7, 2017, the doctor said I can stop wearing the brace, indicating that my clavicle has healed about 67%.
However, I am scheduled to go to Thailand on March 5, 2017, which is less than a month away.
I asked the doctor if I could participate in water activities like banana boating and parasailing, and he said it would be fine as long as I avoid anything too strenuous.
He advised that I should rest if I feel any discomfort.
Despite this, I still feel anxious about the possibility of re-injuring my clavicle.
Since I have already paid for the trip, I feel it would be a shame not to participate, but I'm also worried about the risk of fracturing it again.
