Discomfort in the urethra and near the anus?
I apologize for the inconvenience, but my question is related to the topic.
This feels somewhat like a urinary tract infection; I had one a year ago, and after treatment, it resolved.
I have experienced similar symptoms since then, but after checking my urine, the doctor said there were no issues.
Since I lack relevant knowledge, I would like to ask if my testing method was incorrect or if I consulted the wrong specialty.
To describe the situation in detail, I currently experience morning erections.
One day, after masturbation, I suddenly felt discomfort in the urethra, and the uncomfortable areas include the segment from the anus to the penis, as well as the internal area of the anus.
It feels like I can touch the area very close to the anus with my finger.
The uncomfortable areas are the urethra, from the penis to the anus, and the inner side of the anus.
The next day, I still had morning erections, and the discomfort lessened, but there is still a slight sensation.
This has happened before, and it eventually went away, but I am still worried that this could be a serious condition, so I am seeking advice.

Discomfort in the urethra and anal area can be concerning, especially if you have a history of urinary tract infections (UTIs) or other urogenital issues. Based on your description, it seems that you are experiencing discomfort that radiates from the urethra to the anal area, which can be indicative of several potential causes.
Firstly, it is important to consider that the urethra and anal area are closely anatomically related, and discomfort in one area can often be felt in the other. Given your history of urethritis, it is possible that you may be experiencing a recurrence of this condition. Urethritis can be caused by various factors, including bacterial infections, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), or even irritation from certain activities such as masturbation.
The fact that you experienced discomfort after masturbation could suggest that the irritation is mechanical in nature, possibly due to friction or pressure. This is not uncommon and can lead to temporary discomfort that may resolve on its own. However, if the discomfort persists or worsens, it would be prudent to seek further evaluation.
Another potential cause of your symptoms could be prostatitis, which is inflammation of the prostate gland. This condition can cause discomfort in the urethra, pelvic area, and anal region. Symptoms may include pain during urination, difficulty urinating, and discomfort during ejaculation. Prostatitis can be acute or chronic, and it may require specific treatment depending on the underlying cause.
Additionally, conditions such as hemorrhoids or anal fissures could also contribute to discomfort in the anal area. These conditions can cause pain, itching, and discomfort, particularly during bowel movements or after certain activities.
Since you mentioned that you have had urine tests that came back normal, it is possible that the discomfort is not due to a urinary tract infection. However, if you have not had a comprehensive evaluation that includes a physical examination, it may be beneficial to consult a urologist or a gastroenterologist. They can perform a thorough examination, including a digital rectal exam, to assess for any abnormalities in the prostate or anal region.
In terms of management, if the discomfort is mild and intermittent, you may consider conservative measures such as warm baths, over-the-counter pain relief, and avoiding activities that exacerbate the discomfort. However, if the symptoms persist, worsen, or are accompanied by other concerning signs such as fever, blood in urine or stool, or significant pain, it is essential to seek medical attention promptly.
In summary, while your symptoms may not indicate a severe condition, it is crucial to monitor them closely and consult a healthcare professional for a thorough evaluation. Early diagnosis and appropriate management can help alleviate discomfort and address any underlying issues effectively.
