Urethral discomfort?
Hello, doctor.
I previously asked you about experiencing discomfort in the urethra (possibly the corpus cavernosum) after masturbating 2-3 times in a short period.
I observed this discomfort from August 20 to August 26, and even after 6 days, there was still some discomfort.
I went to the hospital for a urinalysis, which showed no abnormalities.
Occasionally, I feel a slight stabbing pain in the urethra (possibly when getting up), but there is no pain during urination.
Later, I couldn't resist and masturbated again on August 31, but the volume of semen was quite low, appearing a deep yellow and somewhat watery.
Is this a normal phenomenon, or should I consider further examinations?

Hello: It is recommended to refrain from DIY activities and sexual intercourse for now.
Continuing these activities in the short term may lead to a recurrence of symptoms.
Generally, there may be an injury that requires time to heal.
Wishing you good health.
Please remember to drink plenty of water.
There are not many possible examinations needed.

More Info
Urethral discomfort can be a concerning symptom, and it's important to understand the potential causes and when to seek medical help. Based on your description, it seems that you have experienced discomfort after engaging in frequent masturbation, which can sometimes lead to temporary irritation or inflammation of the urethra.
Causes of Urethral Discomfort
1. Irritation from Frequent Masturbation: Engaging in masturbation multiple times in a short period can lead to irritation of the urethra and surrounding tissues. This irritation can manifest as discomfort or a tingling sensation, especially if there is insufficient lubrication or if the technique is too vigorous.
2. Infection: Although you mentioned that a urine test showed no abnormalities, urinary tract infections (UTIs) or sexually transmitted infections (STIs) can also cause urethral discomfort. Symptoms may include burning during urination, increased frequency of urination, or unusual discharge.
3. Dehydration: The color and consistency of your semen can be influenced by hydration levels. A deep yellow color may indicate dehydration, which can also affect urine color and consistency.
4. Prostatitis: Inflammation of the prostate gland can lead to discomfort in the urethra and pelvic area. This condition can be acute or chronic and may require medical evaluation.
5. Other Medical Conditions: Conditions such as urethral strictures, which are narrowing of the urethra, or other underlying health issues can also cause discomfort.
When to Seek Help
Given that you have experienced discomfort for several days and that it has not resolved, it is advisable to seek medical attention if you notice any of the following:
- Persistent or worsening pain, especially if it becomes severe.
- Blood in urine or semen.
- Fever or chills, which may indicate an infection.
- Changes in urinary habits, such as increased urgency or frequency.
- Any unusual discharge from the urethra.
Recommended Actions
1. Hydration: Ensure you are drinking plenty of fluids to help flush out your urinary system and maintain hydration, which can improve the color of your urine and semen.
2. Avoid Irritation: Consider taking a break from masturbation to allow your body to recover from any potential irritation.
3. Monitor Symptoms: Keep track of any changes in your symptoms, including the frequency and intensity of discomfort, and any new symptoms that may arise.
4. Follow-Up with a Healthcare Provider: If symptoms persist or worsen, it is important to consult a healthcare provider. They may recommend further testing, such as a more comprehensive urine analysis, STI screening, or imaging studies to rule out other conditions.
5. Discuss Sexual Health: If you have concerns about your sexual health or practices, discussing these openly with a healthcare provider can provide valuable insights and guidance.
In conclusion, while temporary urethral discomfort can often resolve on its own, persistent symptoms warrant further evaluation to rule out any underlying issues. Taking proactive steps regarding hydration and monitoring your symptoms will be beneficial, and do not hesitate to seek medical advice if you have concerns about your health.
