Recently, I have been experiencing various health issues?

Recently, I have been experiencing excessive sleepiness, waking up still feeling fatigued, recurrent mouth ulcers, dizziness, weakness in my limbs, sore feet, elevated body temperature, frequent colds, phlegm, runny nose, and blisters on the glans.
I believe it might be due to excessive exercise and lack of sleep in the past.
However, for the past two weeks, I have not been exercising, have been eating nutritious food, and have been sleeping more, yet my condition has been worsening.
Could you please explain why this is happening and how I can improve my situation?

Hello, thank you for your message.
The recurring mouth ulcers and blisters in the perineal area, along with elevated body temperature, may be related to rheumatic diseases.
It would be advisable to visit a rheumatology clinic nearby for a physical examination and to arrange for tests, which may help identify the underlying cause.
The Allergy, Immunology, and Rheumatology Department of Changhua Hospital, Ministry of Health and Welfare, is concerned about your well-being.

It sounds like you're experiencing a complex array of symptoms that are significantly impacting your daily life. The combination of fatigue, recurrent mouth sores, dizziness, weakness in your limbs, muscle pain, elevated body temperature, frequent colds, phlegm, runny nose, and the appearance of blisters on your glans can be concerning. While it's understandable to attribute these symptoms to recent changes in your lifestyle, such as increased exercise and lack of sleep, the persistence and worsening of your condition over the past two weeks suggest that there may be underlying factors at play.

Firstly, it's important to recognize that fatigue and weakness can stem from a variety of causes, including but not limited to physical overexertion, nutritional deficiencies, infections, and chronic stress. Given that you've mentioned a recent increase in physical activity followed by a period of rest, it's possible that your body is still recovering from the initial strain. However, if you are eating well and sleeping adequately yet still feel fatigued, it may indicate that your body is fighting something more significant.

The presence of recurrent mouth sores can be indicative of several conditions, including viral infections (like herpes simplex), nutritional deficiencies (such as vitamin B12, folate, or iron), or even autoimmune disorders. The blisters on your glans could also suggest a localized infection or irritation, which should be evaluated by a healthcare professional.

Dizziness and weakness in the limbs can be associated with various issues, including dehydration, electrolyte imbalances, or even neurological conditions. It's crucial to monitor your hydration levels, especially if you're experiencing symptoms like a runny nose and phlegm, which could suggest an upper respiratory infection.
Elevated body temperature and frequent colds might point to an underlying infection or immune response. If your immune system is compromised, it could lead to increased susceptibility to infections and prolonged recovery times. Chronic stress can also weaken the immune system, making you more prone to illness.

To address your symptoms, I recommend the following steps:
1. Consult a Healthcare Professional: It's essential to see a doctor who can perform a thorough evaluation, including blood tests to check for infections, nutritional deficiencies, and other potential underlying conditions.
2. Rest and Recovery: Ensure you are allowing your body adequate time to recover. This includes not just physical rest but also mental relaxation techniques to reduce stress.

3. Nutrition: Focus on a balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals. Foods high in vitamin C, B vitamins, and zinc can support immune function and overall health.
4. Hydration: Drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated, especially if you're experiencing symptoms like a runny nose and phlegm.

5. Monitor Symptoms: Keep track of your symptoms, including when they occur and any potential triggers. This information can be valuable for your healthcare provider.

6. Mental Health: If stress or anxiety is contributing to your symptoms, consider speaking with a mental health professional. Stress management techniques such as mindfulness, meditation, or therapy can be beneficial.

7. Avoid Self-Diagnosis: While it's natural to try to make sense of your symptoms, avoid jumping to conclusions without professional guidance.
In summary, while lifestyle changes can impact your health, the persistence and worsening of your symptoms warrant a comprehensive evaluation by a healthcare professional. They can help identify any underlying issues and develop a tailored treatment plan to address your concerns. Remember, your health is paramount, and seeking help is a crucial step towards recovery.
