Glans sensitivity
My glans is very sensitive; it hurts just to touch anything, and it feels like being electrocuted.
Perhaps it's because I have a long foreskin, and the glans is not often exposed (but it shouldn't be phimosis), as it is almost never exposed.
This issue is really troubling me, and I would like to ask the doctor how I can reduce the sensitivity of the glans.
Is there any method other than friction? Because it really takes a lot of courage to do that, and it makes my legs weak.
Are there any other options? Would exposing the glans to air help improve the situation? That doesn't hurt.

I really don't know how to respond to you, as it's such a sensitive topic.
In fact, every part of our body is important and deserves to be understood well.
I suggest you read a few books like "About Sex" and "The Love of the Little Brother," both in Chinese.
Finding and reading them will definitely be helpful for you.

Managing sensitivity of the glans can be a challenging issue, especially when it leads to discomfort or pain during contact. The sensitivity you are experiencing could be related to several factors, including anatomical variations, hygiene practices, or even psychological aspects. Here are some tips and insights that may help you find relief and comfort.
Understanding Sensitivity
The glans penis is naturally sensitive due to a high concentration of nerve endings. For some men, this sensitivity can be heightened by factors such as:
1. Phimosis: While you mentioned that you do not believe you have phimosis, it’s worth noting that a tight foreskin can prevent the glans from being exposed regularly, leading to increased sensitivity when it does come into contact with other surfaces.
2. Lack of Exposure: If the glans is not often exposed to air or friction, it may become overly sensitive when it does come into contact with clothing or other objects.
3. Hygiene: Proper hygiene is essential. Accumulation of smegma (a combination of dead skin cells and oils) can lead to irritation and increased sensitivity.
4. Psychological Factors: Anxiety or fear associated with touch can also heighten sensitivity. This is often a psychological response rather than a purely physical one.
Tips for Relief and Comfort
1. Gradual Exposure: Gradually exposing the glans to air can help desensitize it over time. You might consider wearing looser-fitting underwear or going without underwear at home to allow for more exposure. However, ensure that this is done in a comfortable and safe environment.
2. Hygiene Practices: Maintain good hygiene by cleaning the area gently with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh soaps or chemicals that could irritate the sensitive skin.
3. Moisturizing: Using a gentle, unscented moisturizer can help reduce friction and irritation. Look for products specifically designed for sensitive skin.
4. Desensitizing Creams: Over-the-counter desensitizing creams or sprays may help reduce sensitivity. These products typically contain lidocaine or benzocaine, which can numb the area temporarily. However, consult with a healthcare provider before using these products to ensure they are appropriate for you.
5. Pelvic Floor Exercises: Strengthening the pelvic floor muscles through exercises like Kegels can help improve control and reduce discomfort during sexual activity.
6. Consult a Urologist: If the sensitivity is severe or persistent, it may be beneficial to consult a urologist. They can assess your condition and determine if there are any underlying issues, such as phimosis or infections, that need to be addressed.
7. Psychological Support: If anxiety or fear is contributing to your sensitivity, consider speaking with a mental health professional. Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) can help address these fears and reduce anxiety related to touch.
8. Avoiding Irritants: Be mindful of any products that come into contact with the glans, such as lubricants or condoms. Some individuals may have sensitivities to certain materials or chemicals.
Conclusion
Managing sensitivity of the glans is a multifaceted issue that may require a combination of physical and psychological approaches. Gradual exposure, proper hygiene, and possibly consulting a healthcare professional can help you find relief. Remember, it’s essential to listen to your body and proceed at a pace that feels comfortable for you. If discomfort persists, seeking professional advice is crucial to rule out any underlying conditions and to receive tailored treatment options.
