Missed menstruation?
I had my period from January 11 to January 15, and I had sexual intercourse on February 6 while using a condom.
There was a small amount of pre-ejaculate on the condom.
My period started again on February 13 and lasted until February 16, with a lighter flow.
I would like to know if this could be implantation bleeding.
Now it's March 21, and I still haven't gotten my period.
Could this be related to stress? I've been very worried about not getting my period, which is causing me a lot of stress.
Is there still a possibility that I could be pregnant?

Hello! If your period does not appear about 2 to 3 weeks after an intimate relationship where safety precautions were uncertain, it is advisable to take a pregnancy test.
If further consultation or confirmation is needed, you should visit a gynecologist.
Thank you.

When it comes to missed periods, several factors can contribute to this phenomenon, including stress and potential pregnancy. Based on your timeline, it appears that you had your last menstrual period from January 11 to January 15, and then had unprotected sexual intercourse on February 6, followed by a lighter menstrual flow from February 13 to February 16. Now, as of March 21, you have not had your period, which raises some questions.
Firstly, let's address the possibility of implantation bleeding. Implantation bleeding can occur when a fertilized egg attaches itself to the lining of the uterus, typically around 6 to 12 days after conception. This bleeding is usually lighter and shorter than a regular menstrual period and can be accompanied by mild cramping. However, since you mentioned that you had a menstrual-like flow from February 13 to February 16, it is less likely that this was implantation bleeding, especially if the flow was consistent with your typical menstrual cycle.
Now, regarding the missed period in March, stress is a significant factor that can disrupt the menstrual cycle. High levels of stress can lead to hormonal imbalances, which may cause your body to delay or skip a period altogether. The anxiety surrounding the possibility of pregnancy can further exacerbate this stress, creating a cycle of worry that can affect your menstrual health.
In your case, since you had a sexual encounter on February 6, it is essential to consider the possibility of pregnancy. If you have not taken a pregnancy test yet, it would be advisable to do so, especially if your period does not arrive soon. Home pregnancy tests are generally reliable if taken after a missed period, and they can provide you with clarity regarding your situation.
If the test is negative and your period still does not come, it may be beneficial to consult with a healthcare provider. They can perform a more thorough evaluation, which may include blood tests or an ultrasound, to determine if there are any underlying issues affecting your menstrual cycle. Conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), thyroid disorders, or other hormonal imbalances could also contribute to irregular periods.
In summary, both stress and the possibility of pregnancy could be influencing your missed period. It is crucial to take a pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy and to consider seeking medical advice if your period does not return to normal. Managing stress through relaxation techniques, exercise, and adequate sleep can also help regulate your menstrual cycle. Remember, your health is important, and addressing these concerns with a professional can provide you with the support and guidance you need.
