The association between fatigue and vitamin D deficiency?


I have been experiencing fatigue and excessive sleepiness for about 6 to 7 years.
I have seen various internal medicine specialists and undergone tests for thyroid function, hormones, etc.
I even visited a sleep clinic, and all test results came back normal.
Recently, I had my vitamin D levels checked at a clinic, and the result was only 15.
The doctor suggested that if I want to investigate further to determine if there are other issues or factors contributing to my low vitamin D levels, I should consult an endocrinologist at a larger hospital.

Currently, my main discomforts include: fatigue (I still feel tired after sleeping), muscle weakness, occasional pain (including joint pain), symptoms resembling a severe cold, body warmth without fever, headaches, palpitations, mild shortness of breath, and a weakened immune system (frequent recurrent infections in private areas and sebaceous cysts).
These issues seem unrelated to my emotional state, as I can feel fatigued even when work is easy.
However, throughout the year, I tend to feel more fatigued during the winter.

The doctor believes I should take vitamin D for at least three months before retesting my levels.
If I feel extremely fatigued or unwell, I can receive intravenous supplementation.
However, when I visited the endocrinologist, the doctor stated that vitamin D deficiency only leads to muscle and bone issues and does not relate to fatigue, suggesting I should look elsewhere for answers.
I do not avoid sunlight and do not use special sunscreen, so I do not understand why my vitamin D level is only 15.
I also want to confirm whether my discomfort is related to vitamin D deficiency, as it has severely impacted my work recently.
