Pain in the lower right quadrant near the navel, accompanied by inner thigh pain?

Since around the end of February this year, I have been experiencing pain in the lower right side near my navel.
The pain feels like nerve pain and is accompanied by discomfort in the inner thigh on the right side and slight pain in the groin area.
The pain tends to occur more frequently when walking, while the frequency decreases when sitting.
There are times when I go several days without pain, but it is intermittent and I cannot be completely pain-free.
The intensity of the pain varies; sometimes it is quite severe, while other times it is mild.
However, because the pain comes in brief episodes every few seconds and subsides after a moment, it is still bearable.
I would like to know what this issue might be and which medical specialty I should consult.
I found online that abdominal pain combined with inner thigh pain might indicate a need to see a urologist, but I am not pregnant, I do not have constipation, my weight has not suddenly decreased, and my urination feels normal.

More Info

Right lower abdominal pain accompanied by discomfort in the inner thigh can be indicative of several potential underlying issues. Given the nature of your symptoms, it is essential to consider various anatomical structures and possible conditions that could be contributing to your discomfort.

Possible Causes
1. Nerve Irritation or Compression: The pain you describe as "nerve-like" could suggest irritation or compression of the nerves that innervate the lower abdomen and thigh. Conditions such as a herniated disc in the lumbar spine can lead to radicular pain that radiates down the leg, potentially causing discomfort in the inner thigh.

2. Musculoskeletal Issues: Strains or sprains in the muscles of the abdomen or thigh can also lead to intermittent pain. If you have engaged in any physical activity that could have strained these muscles, this might explain the episodic nature of your pain.

3. Reproductive System Conditions: In females, conditions such as ovarian cysts, endometriosis, or pelvic inflammatory disease can cause referred pain to the lower abdomen and inner thigh. Although you mentioned you are not pregnant, it is still important to rule out any gynecological issues.

4. Gastrointestinal Issues: Appendicitis, diverticulitis, or other gastrointestinal conditions can present with right lower abdominal pain. However, these typically come with additional symptoms such as fever, nausea, or changes in bowel habits.

5. Urological Issues: While you mentioned normal urination, conditions like kidney stones or urinary tract infections can sometimes present with referred pain to the lower abdomen and thigh.

Recommended Medical Consultation
Given the complexity of your symptoms, it would be prudent to consult a healthcare professional. The following specialists may be appropriate based on your symptoms:
- Primary Care Physician: They can perform an initial evaluation and guide you on the next steps.

- Urologist: If there is a suspicion of a urinary tract or kidney issue.

- Gynecologist: If there are concerns regarding reproductive health.

- Orthopedic Specialist or Neurologist: If musculoskeletal or nerve-related issues are suspected.

Diagnostic Approach
When you visit a healthcare provider, they will likely conduct a thorough history and physical examination. They may also recommend imaging studies such as an ultrasound or CT scan to visualize the abdominal organs and assess for any abnormalities. Blood tests may also be performed to check for signs of infection or inflammation.

Conclusion
In summary, while your symptoms could stem from various causes, it is essential to seek medical advice to obtain an accurate diagnosis. The intermittent nature of your pain, along with its specific location and associated symptoms, warrants a comprehensive evaluation to rule out any serious conditions. Early diagnosis and treatment can significantly improve your quality of life and prevent potential complications.
