Experiencing pain or discomfort when feeling the urge to urinate after ejaculation?

I would like to ask about a discomfort I experience after ejaculation.
Whenever I have even a slight urge to urinate, I begin to feel a painful sensation, seemingly in the urethra, though I'm not entirely sure.
After I urinate, the pain lasts for a few seconds before returning to a dull ache, which takes some time to gradually subside.
I'm unsure what symptoms this might indicate.
Additionally, I have noticed a few small white bumps near the frenulum between my glans and foreskin.
They do not grow larger or change in any way.
Could these be pearly penile papules?

Hello: If there has been unprotected sexual activity, a urine test should be conducted to rule out infection.
If there is no sensation after a few minutes, it is likely not a concern.
As for the white discharge, it could be from glands or papules.
Similarly, if there has been unprotected sexual activity, a medical examination should still be sought.
Wishing you good health.

Post-ejaculation urgency and discomfort in the urethra can be concerning symptoms, and it's important to understand the potential causes and implications of these sensations. The discomfort you experience after ejaculation, particularly the burning or aching sensation in the urethra, can be attributed to several factors.

Firstly, it's not uncommon for men to experience a temporary sensation of discomfort or urgency after ejaculation. This can be due to a variety of reasons, including irritation of the urethra, inflammation, or even muscle spasms in the pelvic region. The urethra is the tube that carries urine from the bladder to the outside of the body, and it can become sensitive after ejaculation due to the release of semen, which can cause a temporary inflammatory response. Additionally, if there is any residual semen in the urethra, it may lead to a sensation of urgency or discomfort when you feel the need to urinate.

Another possibility is that you may be experiencing a condition known as post-ejaculatory pain syndrome (PEPS), which is characterized by pain or discomfort following ejaculation. This condition can be linked to various factors, including pelvic floor muscle tension, prostatitis (inflammation of the prostate gland), or other underlying urological issues. If the discomfort persists or worsens, it would be advisable to consult a healthcare professional for a thorough evaluation.

Regarding the small white bumps you mentioned near the frenulum (the band of tissue on the underside of the penis), these are likely to be pearly penile papules, which are harmless and quite common. Pearly penile papules are small, dome-shaped bumps that typically appear around the corona of the glans (the head of the penis). They are a normal anatomical variation and are not associated with any disease or infection. However, if you notice any changes in size, color, or if they become painful, it would be wise to seek medical advice to rule out other conditions.

In summary, the discomfort you experience after ejaculation could be due to irritation or inflammation of the urethra, and while it can be a common occurrence, persistent or severe symptoms warrant a medical evaluation. The small white bumps are likely pearly penile papules, which are benign. If you have any concerns about your symptoms or if they persist, it is always best to consult with a healthcare provider who can provide a proper diagnosis and treatment options tailored to your situation.
