Morning erection issues, foreskin problems?
I am 18 years old and have had a habit of masturbating before sleep since puberty in middle school, with a frequency of about once every 1-2 days.
However, I rarely experience morning erections.
I do not drink water before bed to avoid inconvenience at night, and my daily routine is normal.
I do not feel tired during the day, and my erections are normal otherwise, but I always wake up without an erection.
I would like to know how to improve this situation and if it is normal.
Additionally, I usually have half of my glans exposed when not erect, but when I am erect, the glans is still only half exposed.
I can easily retract the foreskin to the corona with gentle pressure, and I have no difficulty cleaning.
Is it normal for the glans not to be fully exposed during an erection? Does this indicate a condition of phimosis?

It should be fine, but you can go for an outpatient examination.

Morning erections, often referred to as "nocturnal penile tumescence," are a normal physiological phenomenon that occurs during sleep, particularly during REM (rapid eye movement) sleep. For young men, including those around the age of 18, experiencing morning erections can vary significantly from person to person. It is important to understand that not having morning erections every day does not necessarily indicate a problem with sexual health or function.
In your case, you mentioned that you have a regular masturbation habit and that you do not drink water before bed to avoid nighttime interruptions. This could be a contributing factor to the infrequency of your morning erections. Morning erections are often stimulated by a full bladder, which can trigger the nervous system to initiate an erection. If you are not drinking water before bed, your bladder may not be full enough to stimulate this response upon waking.
Regarding your concerns about the visibility of your glans (the head of the penis) during erections, it is not uncommon for some men to have a portion of the glans covered by the foreskin even when fully erect. This can be due to the natural anatomy of the penis and the foreskin. If you can easily retract your foreskin without discomfort and maintain good hygiene, it is generally considered normal. However, if you experience any pain, difficulty retracting the foreskin, or if you have concerns about hygiene, it may be worth consulting a healthcare professional.
As for your question about whether your situation is normal, it is important to note that variations in sexual function and anatomy are common. The fact that you have normal erections during sexual arousal and that you do not feel fatigued during the day suggests that your overall sexual health is likely fine. If you are concerned about the frequency of your morning erections or any other aspect of your sexual health, it may be beneficial to speak with a healthcare provider, such as a urologist, who can provide personalized advice and reassurance.
In summary, while morning erections are a normal occurrence, their frequency can vary based on several factors, including hydration levels and individual physiology. The appearance of your glans during an erection is also within the range of normal anatomical variation. If you have ongoing concerns or experience changes in your sexual function, seeking medical advice is always a prudent step. Remember, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, managing stress, and ensuring open communication with healthcare providers can contribute positively to your sexual health and overall well-being.
