The new sleep medication, Dazepam?


I have been experiencing insomnia without any apparent reason and have been seeing a neurologist for 10 years.
I have been taking half a tablet of Eszopiclone (Lunesta) and one 0.5 mg tablet of Lorazepam (Ativan), but I don't take them every day; I usually take them every few days, most often once a week.
However, when I don't take them, I can hardly sleep.
Recently, even taking them daily has not been effective, so my doctor advised me to purchase the latest non-benzodiazepine medication, Doxepin, from the pharmacy, which supposedly does not have tolerance or addiction issues.
In the first two days of taking it, if I don't take Lorazepam as well, I still have trouble falling asleep and become anxious.
On the third night, I often try Lorazepam and find it much better.
I would like to ask Dr.
Li if Doxepin can be taken together with Lorazepam.
I want to get off Lorazepam, but if I experience anxiety about sleep again, can I take Lorazepam again? Thank you.

Hello: Zolpidem can be taken with benzodiazepines.
If you are unable to discontinue benzodiazepines, you may continue to take them, but it is recommended to use a single sleep medication whenever possible to avoid polypharmacy.
