Hello doctor, can men take evening primrose oil to improve acne-prone skin?


Hello Doctor,
I started having acne in my senior year of high school and it has continued until now.
I am a person who gets nervous easily, which often leads to mild gastrointestinal discomfort.
I tend to stay up late, but my diet and lifestyle are generally normal.
I avoid spicy, overly salty, sweet, or greasy foods, and I do not smoke or drink alcohol.
My late nights are mostly due to work reports.
I maintain a regular skincare routine, washing my face three times a day, followed by moisturizing and sun protection using products suitable for oily skin.
However, I still struggle with acne.
The type of acne I have is red and not very raised, often taking a long time to heal.
This is especially true for the areas from my chin to my ears.
I usually take a men's multivitamin.
Recently, I heard that evening primrose oil can help regulate hormonal balance, and I'm unsure if this supplement, which is marketed for women, would be suitable for my symptoms.
I wonder if my acne is due to hormonal imbalance or endocrine disruption.
