Issues near the bladder?
I would like to ask you some questions, doctor.
I have a strange feeling near my bladder, a kind of soreness.
It doesn't hurt all the time, but when I pay attention to it, I feel that soreness.
I don't have any discomfort when urinating, but I experience pain when I need to exert myself during a bowel movement.
I wonder if this is related to excessive masturbation in the past, as I have felt pain in that area before.
Could it be a muscle strain? Additionally, one of my testicles is higher than the other; is that normal? Also, there is a small protrusion on one side that feels like a blood vessel.
Is that normal? I don't feel any issues elsewhere, but the pain has persisted for quite a while, so I'm really asking for your help, doctor.

Dr. Liu Jianting reply Urology
Don't worry! It's not related to masturbation! Pain from exertion is due to a muscle strain.
It's normal for one testicle to be higher than the other, and the bulge on top is the epididymis.

It sounds like you're experiencing some discomfort near your bladder, and I understand how concerning that can be. Let's break down your symptoms and address your questions.
Firstly, the discomfort you're feeling near the bladder could be due to several factors. Since you mentioned that the pain occurs when you exert yourself, such as during bowel movements, it could be related to pelvic floor muscle tension or strain. The pelvic floor muscles support the bladder and other pelvic organs, and if these muscles are tense or overworked, they can lead to discomfort. This could potentially be exacerbated by activities such as excessive masturbation, which might lead to muscle strain or irritation in the pelvic region.
Regarding the sensation of pain when you need to exert yourself, it’s important to consider that the pelvic floor muscles and the muscles involved in bowel movements are interconnected. If the pelvic floor is tense, it can lead to discomfort during bowel movements, as the muscles may not relax properly. This could explain why you feel pain during these moments but not during urination, which typically involves different muscle groups.
As for the asymmetry of your testicles, it is quite common for one testicle to hang lower than the other. This is a normal anatomical variation and is usually not a cause for concern. However, the small bump you mentioned that feels like a blood vessel could be a normal anatomical structure known as the spermatic cord or a varicocele, which is an enlargement of the veins within the scrotum. While these are often benign, any new or unusual lumps should be evaluated by a healthcare professional to rule out any potential issues.
Given that you've been experiencing this discomfort for a while, it would be wise to consult a urologist. They can perform a thorough examination, possibly including imaging studies or other diagnostic tests, to determine the exact cause of your symptoms. They can also assess your pelvic floor function and provide guidance on exercises or therapies that may help alleviate your discomfort.
In the meantime, consider practicing relaxation techniques to help ease any tension in your pelvic floor. Gentle stretching, warm baths, and mindfulness exercises can be beneficial. If you find that certain activities exacerbate your symptoms, it may be helpful to modify those activities until you have a clearer understanding of what is causing your discomfort.
In summary, while your symptoms could be related to muscle strain or tension, it’s essential to seek a professional evaluation to ensure there are no underlying conditions that need to be addressed. Your health and comfort are important, and a urologist will be able to provide you with the most accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment options.
