Could you please tell me which hospital in the northern region the doctor is seeing patients at?
Hello Doctor, I previously underwent laparoscopic surgery for a ruptured ovarian cyst at Min-Sheng Hospital in Taoyuan.
I would like to know if you have any clinics in the northern region, as your current location at Changhua Hospital is too far for me, living in Taoyuan County.
I look forward to your response.
Thank you!
LISA, 30~39 year old female. Ask Date: 2012/03/17
Dr. Lin Wenbin reply Obstetrics and Gynecology
Dear LISA,
Hello.
Due to a job transfer, I have moved from Kinmen Hospital to Changhua Hospital.
It is currently uncertain if there will be any further transfers in the future.
At present, all outpatient services (including consultations at health centers in places like Shetou and Yuanlin) are limited to the Changhua area only.
However, there are still many excellent gynecologists in the Taoyuan area.
Alternatively, you can utilize the website of the Society of Minimally Invasive Gynecology to find specialists in this field (laparoscopy), and I hope you can find a physician you can trust.

As for any written questions that need answers, please feel free to raise them, and we can discuss them together.
I believe this will also be greatly beneficial for others with similar conditions.
Best regards,
Lin Wen-bin

When seeking a gynecologist in Northern Taiwan, especially after having undergone laparoscopic surgery for a ruptured ovarian cyst, it is essential to find a healthcare provider who is both accessible and capable of addressing your specific needs. Given your previous experience at Min-Sheng Hospital in Taoyuan, it would be beneficial to look for similar facilities or specialists in the northern region that can provide continuity of care.
In Northern Taiwan, particularly in cities like Taipei, New Taipei, and Taoyuan, there are several reputable hospitals and clinics that offer gynecological services. Some of the well-known hospitals include:
1. National Taiwan University Hospital (NTUH) - Located in Taipei, NTUH is one of the leading hospitals in Taiwan, offering comprehensive gynecological services, including advanced surgical options and specialized care for conditions like ovarian cysts and fibroids.
2. Taipei Medical University Hospital - This hospital provides a range of gynecological services and has a team of experienced gynecologists who can assist with various reproductive health issues.
3. Chang Gung Memorial Hospital - With branches in Linkou and Taipei, Chang Gung is known for its high-quality healthcare services, including gynecology. They have a team of specialists who can handle complex cases.
4. Taoyuan General Hospital - If you prefer to stay within Taoyuan, this hospital offers gynecological services and may have specialists who can provide the care you need without requiring extensive travel.
5. Private Clinics - There are also numerous private gynecological clinics in the area. These clinics often provide more personalized care and shorter waiting times. You can search for gynecologists with good reviews in your vicinity.
When reaching out to these facilities, it is advisable to inquire specifically about the availability of the gynecologist you wish to see, as well as their expertise in managing conditions similar to yours. You can also ask about the possibility of telemedicine consultations if travel is a concern.
In addition to finding a gynecologist, consider the following points to ensure you receive the best care:
- Medical History: Be prepared to discuss your medical history, including your previous surgery and any ongoing symptoms. This information will help the gynecologist understand your situation better.
- Treatment Options: Depending on your current health status and any new symptoms, the gynecologist may recommend various treatment options, including monitoring, medication, or further surgical intervention if necessary.
- Follow-Up Care: After your appointment, ensure you have a clear understanding of any follow-up care or additional tests that may be required.
- Support and Resources: If you have concerns about your health or treatment options, don't hesitate to ask for resources or support groups that can provide additional information and emotional support.
In conclusion, finding a gynecologist in Northern Taiwan involves considering both the location and the expertise of the healthcare provider. By exploring reputable hospitals and clinics, you can ensure that you receive the appropriate care tailored to your needs. Don't hesitate to reach out to multiple providers to find the best fit for your situation.
