Chen Chia-Hsiang Neurology and Psychiatry Clinic

Hello Doctor,
I would like to ask for your help.
My girlfriend's mother has a mental illness and used to receive treatment at the Chen Chia-Hsiang Neurology and Psychiatry Clinic, located at No.
1, Section 2, Wenhua Road, Banqiao City, Taipei County.
The phone number was (02) 2257-6150.
It has been a long time since her last visit, and we recently discovered that the clinic has moved and the phone number has changed.
There are no records on the Department of Health's website or in the 104 directory.
We also couldn't find any information through online searches.

Is there any other way to find this information? The medical records are at this clinic, so we are eager to locate it.
The doctor has passed away, but there was a previous notice stating that the clinic was still operating, just relocated.
Unfortunately, we lost the original notice and cannot find it.
Is there any way to check within the mental health community?
Thank you, and I look forward to your reply.

Hello Win: After inquiring with the Taiwan Psychiatric Association, we found that the information for this psychiatric clinic is outdated and no new data is available to provide, so we are unable to respond to you.
If your girlfriend's mother needs to see a doctor, I believe nearby psychiatrists would be more than willing to assist! Wang Zhenyang, December 4, 2003.

Finding a psychiatrist after a clinic has relocated can be a challenging task, especially when the previous clinic's contact information is no longer available. Here are some tips and resources that may help you locate the psychiatrist or the clinic where your girlfriend's mother was treated.

1. Contact Local Medical Associations: Reach out to local medical associations or psychiatric associations in Taiwan. They often have records of practicing psychiatrists and may be able to provide information about the psychiatrist's new location or any associated clinics.

2. Check with the Health Department: Since you mentioned that you have already checked the health department's website, consider visiting their office in person. They may have additional resources or staff who can assist you in tracking down the clinic.

3. Search for Online Directories: Websites like the Taiwan Medical Association or other healthcare directories may list psychiatrists and their current practices. You can search by specialty and location to find similar practitioners.

4. Social Media and Online Forums: Sometimes, local community groups on social media platforms can be a valuable resource. You can post inquiries in groups related to mental health or local community forums to see if anyone has information about the relocated clinic.

5. Visit Nearby Clinics: If you know the general area where the clinic was located, consider visiting nearby clinics or hospitals. They may have information about the psychiatrist or could recommend other professionals in the area.

6. Ask for Referrals: If your girlfriend's mother has a general practitioner or another healthcare provider, they may be able to refer her to a psychiatrist or provide information about the previous clinic.

7. Check with Former Patients: If possible, try to connect with other patients who may have visited the same clinic. They might have information about the relocation or know where the psychiatrist has moved.

8. Utilize Online Reviews and Listings: Websites that provide reviews of healthcare providers may also have updated information about the psychiatrist or their practice. Look for platforms that focus on mental health services.

9. Contact the Psychiatrist's Previous Office: If you can find any contact information for the previous office, consider reaching out to see if they can provide any leads on the new location or how to access medical records.

10. Consider New Providers: If all else fails, it may be worth considering finding a new psychiatrist. While it may not be ideal, a new provider can help assess and treat your girlfriend's mother's condition.

In summary, while it can be difficult to track down a psychiatrist after a clinic has relocated, utilizing local medical associations, health department resources, online directories, and community networks can be effective strategies. If necessary, seeking a new psychiatrist may also be a viable option to ensure continued care.
