Possible pimples on the inner side of the foreskin?
Hello Doctor: The other day while showering, I noticed what appeared to be red bumps on the underside of the glans beneath the foreskin.
I had a one-night stand in early July, during which I used a condom the entire time.
I also underwent anonymous testing for STIs in early August, and both syphilis and HIV were confirmed negative.
I usually visit a massage parlor every two months, where the masseuses provide hand-release services (no oral sex involved).
I would like to know if this could be balanitis or genital warts.
Additionally, what is the likelihood of contracting an STI from hand-release services at a massage parlor? Here are the photos: http://imgur.com/1wd0FI8 http://imgur.com/t8HjLJJ http://imgur.com/EU4BXgf

When it comes to red bumps under the foreskin, there are several potential causes that could explain your symptoms. Based on your description, it is important to consider a few possibilities, including balanitis, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and other dermatological conditions.
Balanitis is an inflammation of the glans (the head of the penis) and can occur due to various reasons, including poor hygiene, irritants, or infections. Symptoms often include redness, swelling, and sometimes the presence of bumps or sores. If you have not been maintaining proper hygiene, or if you have been using irritating soaps or lotions, this could lead to balanitis.
Genital warts, caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), could also present as red or flesh-colored bumps in the genital area. These warts can appear after sexual contact with an infected partner, even if protection was used. Given your history of sexual encounters, this is a possibility that should be considered.
Other STIs, such as herpes, can also cause red bumps or sores in the genital area. Although you mentioned that you have tested negative for syphilis and HIV, other infections like herpes may not have been included in your screening. Symptoms of herpes can include painful blisters or sores, but some individuals may experience mild symptoms or none at all.
Regarding your concern about the risk of contracting STIs during massages, the risk can vary based on the practices of the establishment and the nature of the services provided. While using condoms during sexual intercourse significantly reduces the risk of STIs, other forms of sexual contact, such as manual stimulation, can still pose a risk if there are cuts or abrasions on the skin or if the partner is infected.
Given the variety of potential causes for your symptoms, it is crucial to consult a healthcare professional for an accurate diagnosis. A dermatologist or urologist can perform a physical examination and may recommend tests to determine the exact cause of the red bumps. They may also provide treatment options based on the diagnosis, which could include topical medications, antifungal treatments, or antiviral medications if an infection is confirmed.
In the meantime, it is advisable to maintain good hygiene in the genital area, avoid irritants, and refrain from sexual activity until you have been evaluated by a healthcare provider. This will help prevent any potential worsening of the condition or transmission of infections.
In summary, while there are several possible explanations for the red bumps under your foreskin, a professional evaluation is essential for proper diagnosis and treatment. Your health and well-being should be the priority, and seeking medical advice will provide you with the best course of action.
