Some issues after circumcision?

Hello Doctor, I underwent a circumcision surgery.
Today (11/22) is the 12th day post-operation.
I have a few phenomena that are not commonly reported online, so I would like to ask about them:
1.
During the dressing change today, I suddenly noticed a small blister (about 1mm in size) on one of the wounds.
It doesn't hurt when I gently touch it.
Currently, I am just doing the normal dressing and bandaging.
Is there any special treatment needed for this?
2.
Since the surgery, I have been waking up almost every night due to painful erections.
However, I later realized that the pain is not at the wound site but at the lower edge of the glans (there has been bruising at the lower edge of the glans since the first day).
As the bruising gradually subsides, the pain has also decreased.
Is it normal to feel pain at the lower edge of the glans during erections?
3.
At the base of the penis, from near the abdomen to slightly above the penis, there is tenderness when I apply light pressure.
I initially thought this was due to the anesthesia injection, but I later found that this phenomenon occurs all around that area, especially on both sides.
There is also soreness during erections (in recent days, this has become the primary cause of my discomfort, surpassing the pain at the glans).
There has been no improvement since the surgery.
If I gently massage the area for a while, it feels a bit better, but after some time, it returns to the original state (light pressure causes soreness).
There are no visible bruises.
Is this normal? Thank you!

If there are issues post-surgery, you should return to the original surgeon's clinic for follow-up.

After undergoing a circumcision procedure, it is common for patients to experience various post-operative symptoms and concerns. Based on your description, let's address each of your concerns in detail.

1. Presence of a Small Blister: The appearance of a small blister (approximately 1mm in size) on one of the incision sites is not uncommon. Blisters can form as a result of friction, irritation, or localized fluid accumulation. Since you mentioned that it does not hurt when touched and you are continuing with normal dressing changes, it is likely that this blister is benign. However, it is essential to keep the area clean and dry. If the blister increases in size, becomes painful, or shows signs of infection (such as redness, warmth, or pus), you should consult your healthcare provider for further evaluation. In most cases, no special treatment is required unless complications arise.

2. Pain During Erections: Experiencing pain during erections, particularly at the base of the glans (the head of the penis), can be a common post-operative symptom. The bruising you mentioned on the underside of the glans is likely contributing to this discomfort. As the bruising resolves, you should notice a decrease in pain. It is important to remember that the healing process can take time, and sensitivity in the area may persist for several weeks. If the pain becomes severe or does not improve over time, it would be advisable to consult your urologist to rule out any complications such as excessive scarring or other issues.

3. Soreness at the Base of the Penis: The soreness you are experiencing at the base of the penis, particularly when pressed, could be due to several factors. The area may still be healing from the surgical procedure, and the tenderness could be related to the trauma from the surgery or the anesthetic used. If the soreness persists without improvement, it is essential to discuss this with your healthcare provider. They may want to examine the area to ensure there are no underlying issues, such as infection or improper healing.

In summary, while some discomfort and unusual sensations can be expected after circumcision, it is crucial to monitor your symptoms closely. If you notice any worsening of your condition, or if new symptoms arise, do not hesitate to reach out to your healthcare provider. They can provide a thorough evaluation and ensure that your recovery is progressing as expected. Remember, healing can take time, and patience is key during this period.
