Is this prediabetes?


This morning, my fasting blood sugar was 82.
Two hours after lunch, it was 179.
A few minutes later, it changed to 161 and then 169.
Two hours after dinner, it was 172, and two and a half hours after dinner, it was 144.
My grandfather and father have diabetes, and during previous health check-ups, I only tested fasting blood sugar, which was normal, so I felt reassured.
I didn't expect my postprandial levels to be so high! I'm really worried about what to do now.
The waiting period for my insurance hasn't ended, and I might not be able to see a doctor until mid-January.
In the meantime, if I exercise more and improve my eating habits by eating more vegetables, can I bring my blood sugar levels back to normal? Or will I need to take medication? Thank you.
