Concerns about nerve injury from injections?
Hello, doctor.
I underwent a nerve hydrodissection injection in both elbows at a private clinic in early August 2021, using ultrasound guidance.
After the needle was inserted, I experienced a more intense stabbing pain in my right hand.
The next day, I noticed pain in the skin of the ulnar forearm near the elbow when performing actions such as raising my hand, bending at the waist, or shrugging my shoulders.
I am almost certain that I injured the medial cutaneous nerve of the forearm.
About two weeks after the injection, the pain had disappeared, but even now (as of September 18), I still experience slight abnormal sensations in that area when performing the aforementioned movements.
I would like to know if this sensation will fade over time or if it is likely to be permanent.
