At the second Asia-Pacific Male Aging Research Conference held yesterday, Dr.
Jian Bangping, an attending urologist at Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital, announced the formula for calculating the erect length of Taiwanese men's penises.
The calculation is based on height (in centimeters) multiplied by 0.06, plus 7.41, and then the resulting value is multiplied by 0.65 to obtain the total length of the penis when erect.
This formula was not easy to derive! Dr.
Jian measured the penis lengths of 167 patients with erectile dysfunction while implanting prosthetic penises and tracked 33 patients to arrive at this formula.
He emphasized that according to medical research, penis length does not differ based on erectile dysfunction status; age may slightly affect erect length, but the difference is not significant.

Jian stated that the only variable in this formula is height; taller individuals tend to have longer penises, but this factor's "contribution" is relatively small, with the most important determining factor still being race.
He gave an example that if a Taiwanese man wants to have a length of 13.4 centimeters, he would need to be 220 centimeters tall, whereas a Western man does not need to be that tall to achieve the same length.

Jian explained that the medical definition of erect penis length includes three types: first, the total length of the corpora cavernosa, which includes the internal portion and can only be measured surgically; second, the erect length of the penis, which is the external portion measured from the pubic bone to the glans; third, the functional length of the penis, which takes into account that some men may have thicker fat around the pubic area, causing the base of the penis to be buried in fat, resulting in a shorter length, so it must be measured by pressing against the pubic bone, which is slightly longer than the "erect length of the penis." After comparing men domestically and internationally, Dr.
Jian noted that Taiwanese and Korean men are of similar length, but compared to men in Europe and America, they are shorter, especially Brazilian men, who are the longest in existing surveys.
However, he emphasized that penis length does not affect sexual function, and Taiwanese men need not feel inferior because of it.
The so-called formula is a general estimation but does not apply to everyone.
