Will taking menstrual induction injections cause irregularities in the menstrual cycle?
I would like to ask about my situation.
Last month, I received a menstrual induction injection due to abnormal bleeding, which my doctor diagnosed as related to stress.
My period came as expected from December 26 to December 30.
However, on January 12, I experienced bleeding again, just 13 days after my last period ended.
I'm wondering if this is related to the injection.
On January 11, I visited a gynecologist because I noticed a grape-sized lump near the vaginal opening (on the labia majora) that was painful when pressed.
I was prescribed oral medication and topical ointment, which helped a bit.
After returning home from the clinic, I caught a cold and experienced light bleeding that day, but the next day it returned to normal volume.
The timing of my menstrual cycle seems very irregular.
During this period, can I use both topical and oral medications? If I choose not to see a doctor again (as I feel my health is deteriorating with each visit), will my menstrual cycle return to its previous regularity, or is it still subject to variability since I am under 18? I prefer not to take medications or injections anymore, as I feel my health is worsening.
Can I use traditional Chinese medicine for adjustment? (P.S.
I have had no sexual activity at all.)

The response may indicate a menstrual irregularity issue that has not been fully treated.
It is recommended to continue seeking medical examination and treatment.

More Info
Menstrual irregularities can indeed follow hormonal injections, such as those used to induce menstruation or regulate menstrual cycles. In your case, it seems that you received an injection to address abnormal bleeding, which can be influenced by various factors, including stress, hormonal fluctuations, and underlying health conditions.
Hormonal injections, like those containing progestin or estrogen, can alter the normal hormonal balance in your body. After receiving such an injection, it is common for women to experience changes in their menstrual cycle. These changes can manifest as irregular periods, spotting between cycles, or changes in the duration and flow of menstruation. The timing of your subsequent menstrual cycle, which occurred just 13 days after the previous one ended, could be a result of the hormonal influence from the injection.
Additionally, stress is a significant factor that can affect menstrual regularity. High levels of stress can lead to hormonal imbalances, which may cause your menstrual cycle to become irregular. It is also worth noting that your age (being under 18) can contribute to variations in your menstrual cycle, as your body is still developing and may not have established a consistent pattern yet.
Regarding the lump you mentioned near the vaginal area, it is essential to follow up with your healthcare provider. While it may have improved with medication, any new or painful growth should be evaluated to rule out any potential issues.
As for your concerns about medication and the desire to avoid further medical interventions, it is understandable to feel apprehensive about ongoing treatments. However, it is crucial to prioritize your health and seek professional advice when necessary. If you are considering alternative treatments, such as traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), it is advisable to consult with a qualified practitioner who can provide guidance based on your specific health needs.
In summary, hormonal injections can lead to menstrual irregularities, especially in the context of stress and age-related factors. While it is possible for your cycle to normalize over time, it is essential to monitor your symptoms and consult with a healthcare professional if you have ongoing concerns. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle, including proper diet and stress management, can also support your overall well-being and menstrual health.
