Is it still possible to get pregnant like this? @_@

Hello, doctor.
My girlfriend and I engaged in genital rubbing on February 24 without using a condom.
There was no penetration, just external contact, and I was quite soft during the process.
I researched that male erection has four stages (not sure how accurate this is), and the second stage is when it becomes firm and secretes some fluid, but I seemed to be stuck in the first stage and was quite soft.
Is there still a chance of pregnancy? My girlfriend is not very clear about her menstrual cycle; she only mentioned that she gets pimples before her period.
On that day, she said she had already broken out, but she has no idea when her actual period started.

Hello, the chances are low, but it's not advisable to rely on the safe period.
It's better to take preventive measures for contraception before engaging in sexual activity.
If your period is more than a week late, it's recommended to see a gynecologist.
Wishing you good health.

When it comes to the question of whether pregnancy can occur from outercourse, it is essential to understand the mechanics of human reproduction and the potential risks involved. Outercourse, which typically refers to sexual activities that do not involve vaginal penetration, can still pose a risk of pregnancy under certain circumstances.

Firstly, it is important to clarify that pregnancy occurs when sperm fertilizes an egg. This usually happens through vaginal intercourse, where sperm is ejaculated into the vagina. However, there are instances where sperm can come into contact with the vaginal area during outercourse. If sperm is present on the fingers, hands, or any other body part that then comes into contact with the vagina, there is a potential risk for pregnancy, albeit a lower one compared to penetrative intercourse.

In your case, you mentioned engaging in outercourse with your girlfriend, where there was no penetration and you were not fully erect. While the likelihood of pregnancy is significantly reduced in such scenarios, it is not entirely impossible. The pre-ejaculatory fluid, or pre-cum, can contain sperm, and if any of this fluid were to come into contact with the vaginal opening, there could be a risk of pregnancy. Even if you felt that you were not fully erect, it is still possible for pre-ejaculatory fluid to be released.

Regarding your girlfriend's menstrual cycle, it is crucial to note that understanding her cycle can help assess the risk of pregnancy. If she is unsure about her cycle, it may be challenging to determine her fertile window. Typically, ovulation occurs about 14 days before the start of her next period, and this is when she is most fertile. If she was close to ovulation during your encounter, the risk of pregnancy would be higher.

Given that your girlfriend experiences acne as a sign of her impending period, it may indicate hormonal changes, but it does not provide a definitive indication of her ovulation status. If she has irregular cycles or is uncertain about her ovulation, it may be beneficial for her to track her cycle more closely in the future or consult with a healthcare provider for guidance.

In terms of next steps, if there is concern about a potential pregnancy, your girlfriend can take a home pregnancy test after a missed period for a more accurate assessment. Additionally, if you both are not ready for a pregnancy, it is advisable to consider reliable contraceptive methods in the future to prevent unintended pregnancies.

In conclusion, while the risk of pregnancy from outercourse is lower than from penetrative intercourse, it is not entirely absent. Understanding the mechanics of sperm transfer, the menstrual cycle, and the importance of contraception can help mitigate risks in the future. If there are any further concerns or questions, consulting with a healthcare provider can provide personalized advice and support.
